Introduction

Among the top 100 companies with the best work culture, Zappos is a fashion and lifestyle brand that sells a wide variety of apparels and accessories like bags and handbags, clothes, and watches. It started out as an online footwear store, and after cornering the shoe market in 2007, they have expanded to include other wearable items as well.

What to Buy

In terms of what to buy, Zappos is still a major seller of footwear, with footwear sales accounting for about 80% of its total revenue, and they do sell quite a number of them, ranging from athletic sneakers to streetwear, to even slippers and boots. All of their footwear is branded as well, featuring popular and recognizable brands like Nike, New Balance, Converse, Vans, Clarks, UGG, Sketchers and more.

Since 2007, the lifestyle brand has expanded its offering to include many other item categories, such as bags and handbags, clothings (normal, plus size and adaptive), accessories, jewelry, watches, sunglasses, as well as travel and luggage. However, what really caught the attention of the people is its Zappos Adaptive offering.

Zappos Adaptive strives to source and provide stylish clothes and other wearables for special people like dwarves and the disabled. Most of the items offered there has unique hand-free designs and are usually easy to put on and take off.

For clothes and pants, the designs often avoid troublesome buttons and zippers such as magnetic clothing where you can “seal” your shirt with magnets, and have elastic bands like jeans with stretchable bands that can be easily pulled up. For shoes, the designs opted for a no-lace design, allowing people who struggle with laces, such as some autistic people, to be able to wear their shoes independently. Zappos even sell baby clothes with easy feeding tube access in case parents need them.

Highlights

Zappos’ Adaptive lineup alone is enough to make this lifestyle brand stand out from all the other online apparel stores out there. However, if those products don’t really concern you, know that you can still get a ton of discounts – check in frequently to cash in on their amazing sales.

There’s even a membership system where you can earn reward points for your every purchase and for leaving a review for your purchases, get an early access pass to the latest products and sales, as well as free expedited shipping.

Is It Time to Buy?

Buying clothes, shoes and other accessories from Zappos can be so rewarding especially if you’re a member! Besides earning points that you can then use to redeem reward codes, you can also get free expedited shipping for both delivery and returns (if there are any). Plus, Zappos has so much more items to offer, even if you’re buying for people with special needs.
