Introduction

Virgin Mobile is a US-based telecommunication company that provides mobile services, from data plans to phone insurance, in addition to being an official distributor of iPhones.

What to Buy

As a telco company, Virgin Mobile sells a variety of mobile plans, be it postpaid or prepaid. Users can opt for the premium postpaid membership called the Inner Circle where they can get a ton of perks for $50/mo. The perks include unlimited 4G data, access to special members’ benefits, unlimited talk and text, and autopay feature so you’ll never miss a bill payment. The plan boasts of having no extra or hidden fees and that part of your monthly payment will go to a charity that helps to bring internet connectivity to school students with the 1Million Project.

If that is too fancy for you, you can purchase any of their prepaid plans – Data Love, Data Love+, and Data Love Unlimited. These plans have costs that vary from $35 to $60 per month and naturally, they will offer different benefits and features. Generally, all plans include 4G data (of varying capacity), unlimited data, talk and text, as well as unlimited music streaming provided that you use any of Virgin Mobile’s partner music providers, like Spotify, Pandora, Napster, Slacker, iHeartRadio and 8Tracks.

If your data is not enough, you can always top it up with extra data for $5/mo per 1 GB. These top-up cards can be purchased at any major retailer, like Best Buy, Walmart, and Target, across the United States.

Virgin Mobile also sells phones – iPhones to be specific. There are 3 types of iPhones you can get at the store, namely pre-loved, certified pre-loved and brand-new, and which type you get mainly depends on your budget.

You can even purchase additional mobile services at Virgin Mobile, including phone insurance which will protect your device from damage, loss or theft for $7 per month; mobile hotspot that allows you to turn your phone into a mobile router of sorts; and international calling which allows unlimited calls to Canada and Mexico, and worldwide texting at $5/mo, while you can get unlimited calls to landlines for other 70+ countries, 200 minutes to select mobiles in 50+ countries, and reduced per-minute rates over 200 destinations for $10/mo.

Highlights

Virgin Mobile currently has an ongoing promotion with Apple where everyone with an iPhone 8 will be able to get an exclusive rate of $1/mo for 6 months. After the promo period ends, the regular charges of $50/mo will then apply.

Being a Inner Circle member is quite beneficial too! Members often can win prizes and get amazingly great deals on a variety of products ranging from clothes to vacations; from food to entertainment.

Is It Time to Buy?

With an internet speed that rivals that of AT&T, Virgin Mobile is able to offer high-speed internet and unlimited talk and text at a lower price. It is definitely a brand you should consider when deciding on a mobile plan. This is especially true if you use an iPhone 8.
