Fetch Eyewear is an independently-owned eyeglasses wholesaler and online retailer selling designer frames and prescription lenses. Run by philanthropists, the Fetch Eyewear business model is highly unique in that they donate 100% of profits towards animal rescue and welfare causes.

What to Buy

Founded by retired designer and CEO Ann Sacks, the simple formula of Fetch Eyewear is this: every pair of Fetch eyeglasses or sunglasses you buy helps a pet in need. Fetch donates 100% of net proceeds to support animal welfare through rescue, sheltering, veterinary care, low-cost spay & neuter programs, and education in partnership with their non-profit The Pixie Project and other animal welfare organizations.

Originally a brand of stylish reading glasses sold in department stores and boutiques called Amy Sacks Eyewear, the name changed to Fetch Eyewear in order to reflect its complete commitment to animal causes. Today, it not only sells one-of-a-kind reading glasses and frames, but also designer prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses on their website and in over 100 shops across North America.

Exclusively designed and manufactured by their own team rather than licensing them from one of the two major eyeglass manufacturing companies (Luxottica and Safilo), Fetch frames are inspired by traditional eyewear shapes but crafted with more contemporary accents to complement today’s trends and to flatter diverse face shapes. The color palette includes bold hues, coordinating neutrals, and fun, unexpected color combinations to suit every skin tone.

Offering everything from petite, refined reading glasses, classic prescription glasses, and funky-looking sunglasses; Fetch Eyewear currently has over 80 prescription and reading glasses and over 75 sunglasses frames for both men and women.

Meanwhile, in its mission to integrate tech into spectacles design because the founder kept losing her glasses (a problem that inspired her to establish the company in the first place); Fetch Eyewear has collaborated with Klix Frames to develop Fetch Find, where wearers can receive an alert on their smartphones when they move away from their glasses, and can find them if they get lost by using GPS technology.

They also collaborated to produce Collection by Fetch, which allows wearers to conveniently and safely transfer lenses from one color of a favorite frame to another with the purchase of one single prescription. The interchangeable frame mechanism works by using a detachable top bar on each frame, facilitating quick removal of the lenses and reinsertion into another Collection frame. When reattached, the bar is firmly secured in place by industrial strength neodymium magnets. The technology is currently available for 13 Fetch prescription eyeglass frame styles.

To shop for the perfect Fetch frame, just click through the main menu on top of each page for Eyeglasses or Sunglasses and then browse by Men’s, Women’s, Men’s Readers, Women’s Readers, Sun Readers, and Collection categories. You can also start by accessing the thumbnails on the homepage. Inside the website, consider answering their short Find Your Fit questionnaire to figure out your perfect eyeglass shape and color; or narrow down selections by Frame Color, Frame Shape, Frame Size, and Face Shape.

Each frame can be purchased alone or with scratch resistant anti-reflective lenses (reading or prescription, single vision or multi-vision), and additional lens options (blue blocker or light-responsive—for an extra fee). Furthermore, they come with a free glasses case, cleaning cloth, and a lifetime frame warranty. For prescription lenses, you will be required to upload a scanned copy of your optician’s Rx note.

Even with all of the handy search filters in place, Fetch knows the best way to find a perfectly fit pair of glasses is to try them on for size. That’s why their convenient Try at Home option makes it so easy to shop for glasses without stepping out of your door. Just select five (5) frames you want to try out and add them to the site’s special “Try at Home” cart—at no obligation to pay at that point. Fetch will then send the frames to you free to try out for 5 days. Afterwards, send back all of the frames in the original box with the provided pre-paid return label, re-order your favorite(s) on the regular shopping cart, check out with your payment, and Fetch will process your final purchase.

Meanwhile, Fetch Eyewear is so confident in the quality and durability of their frames that they back each one with a lifetime warranty unmatched in the optical industry. They will repair or replace any damaged Fetch frame, no matter the cause. Simply send the frame (or pieces) back to them with your contact information and they will be in touch regarding the status of your repair or replacement. Lifetime Warranty does not apply to lenses but Fetch will be happy to insert the old unharmed lenses from your damaged Fetch glasses into the new frame for free, or they can replace prescription, reading, sun, and reading sun lenses for the cost of the lens.

Fetch offers free shipping on orders delivering to all 50 states via USPS First Class mail with a 1-5 business day transit time for the continental US and 5-10 business days for Alaska and Hawaii. Prescription glasses and prescription sunglasses can only be shipped to addresses in the US and Canada. However, they can ship reading glasses, reading sunglasses, non-prescription sunglasses and optical frames to all international addresses based on order quantity and destination.

All reading glasses and sunglasses, in addition, are eligible for an exchange or full refund within 30 days of your receiving your order. Prescription eyewear and sunglass readers are returnable only in the event of a manufacturing error. To return your Fetch frames, simply send them back with contact information and a written explanation for your return.

Finally, sign up to receive Fetch Eyewear emails and get 10% off on your first purchase of any frame as well as updates and exclusive offers sent directly to your inbox.

Is It Time to Buy?

Fetch Eyewear combines their passion for family, good business, great design, and animals in the belief that fashion is nothing without generosity and compassion. Whether you wear prescription glasses, sunglasses, or both; give Fetch a try and revel in the fact that you’ll not only look fetching in your gorgeous specs, but you’ll also help an adorable pet in need.
